Discover a
Forgotten
Cuisine.

Most people think that Angkor, the world’s largest pre-industrial city, has only left behind ruins hidden by overgrown jungle.

But if you look close enough, the descendants of this empire keep myth and magic alive through food, drink, and their relationship with the natural world around them.

We tell the story behind each dish and visit authentic, family-run restaurants all while sipping a cold beer and taking in the local Cambodian life.

The lost plate food tour was by far my favorite culinary experience in Cambodia. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. They took us to so many delicious spots that we likely wouldn’t have found on our own. The food on this tour was the best we experienced anywhere during our 8 days in Cambodia. Riding around on tuk tuks is a great way to see the city at night and much more fun than many of the walking food tours offered in other cities. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting Phnom Penh.

The tour was a great intro to Cambodian food and culture. My friend and I took the tour at the beginning of our trip which helped us scout out dishes and street vendors throughout our trip. I found the tour incredibly helpful as it was my first time in Southeast Asia and I didn’t fully understand the food culture. I wouldn’t have found the tour stops on my own, and each stop has a fascinating back story. We loved that several dishes pushed our palettes. Also, I’m gluten intolerant and was a little worried I would miss out, but the guides made it a non-issue.

This food tour is unlike any I’ve taken before. Whether a local’s spot in the middle of town, the back-kitchen of a home stay, an open air hot pot joint, or sharing a meal in someone’s home(!), we learned so much about both the history of Khmer food, but also felt we could authentically experience how locals eat today. You can tell that someone put a lot of thought and research into these locations. All you can drink Cambodian beer never hurts. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about this rich and somewhat forgotten food culture. Thank you again, Leanna, for the once in a lifetime experience!

Wow. We did the Phnom Penh tour a week before the Siem Reap tour. I left that tour saying, “That was the best food tour I have been on.” Then we did this one. The destinations were beyond special. Experiences we never would have had otherwise, and certainly that I will never forget. This is not your standard go to a market and then a street food stall that has been vetted for cleanliness. This is way beyond that. Leanna is incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Cambodia and its food. She puts it all into context and you leave with a much deeper appreciation of the country. Because of her and this tour, we ate nothing but Khmer food for the 2 weeks we were in the country.

Why People Choose Us:

By sharing the living history of cuisine by the hands that make it, we're changing the way people think about food and its role in the universe.

Cambodia Food Tours Experiences by Locals

Experiences by Locals.

Only guides from each city can give you a true taste of the area in food and culture, all trained by our founders to ensure a perfect experience.

We also work with the community through local producers and partners to ensure you’re getting a real local taste of what each community can do.

Get Fed, Leave Full.

We are not a tasting tour! If you leave hungry or thirsty, we aren’t doing our jobs. Most of our tours feature unlimited food and drinks (beer too)! Everything we eat is tried and tested, plus you’ll see how its made and learn about the families who make it.

The best part? You won’t have to worry about what to order or how to communicate with the owners at each stop, especially if you have allergies or dietary restrictions.

Cambodia Food Tours Beer Wine

Beer and Wine.

The local culinary scene in every city is defined by food and drinks, so we make sure you experience it all! Our evening tours include alcoholic beverages along the way, and at least one stop to sink a glass (or few) of locally produced craft beer or wine.

If this is your scene, you can also check out our bar tour. All your bases are covered with us.

Off the Beaten Path.

We visit local neighborhoods where real locals live and eat. You aren’t going to find any other tourists here, or run into other tour groups. Our restaurants are local legends, family-owned and often specializing in only one dish, which means the quality is high and the flavor is even better.

These places wouldn’t survive without regulars, that’s how you know it’s good.
