We’d Love to Hear From You!
We’ll get back to you in less than 24 hours, 7 days a week. We promise.
Most people think that Angkor, the world’s largest pre-industrial city, has only left behind ruins hidden by overgrown jungle.
But if you look close enough, the descendants of this empire keep myth and magic alive through food, drink, and their relationship with the natural world around them.
We tell the story behind each dish and visit authentic, family-run restaurants all while sipping a cold beer and taking in the local Cambodian life.

“Amazing experience. Great local food spots. Loads of food and informative guide. A special experience in Siem Reap. A highlight was the Tuktuk out to the village and a local dish made by the local Cambodians. Our guide Sann was extremely friendly and knowledgable. We would highly recommend this tour. Plenty of food and drinks included.”
“The tour of Phnom Penh was without a doubt the highlight of our time in the city. Boram (our guide) was wonderful. The background to the food was interesting, the places we went to were also interesting, and the food was delicious! The place we went for ribs ran out (we wanted seconds!) so we ate frogs. My kids loved it! We got caught in a large storm, and the driver navigated around the Russian market expertly. A glass of bubbly on the rooftop topped off the tour, that was so good, even the heavy rain could not dampen. Highly recommended, and good for families too (My boys are 12 and 14 yrs).”
“4 stops for authentic food and LOTS of it so pace yourself. Our guide Horn was great and very informative. A great ride through the country was included. Worth the cost. One note. One dinner at a local families house is on the floor with no chairs so be ready but the meal and experience were worth the effort.”
Enjoyed This Tour!
I’ve been on a number of food tours in Vietnam and Cambodia, and this was an excellent addition to those experiences. Transportation was easy, and our guide made things fun and interesting. They clearly care about their home and their culinary traditions, and I recommend this experience to those visiting Phnom Penh!”

“We booked this food tour in Phom Penh at the last minute and it was a great decision. Our guide picked us up on time, and showed us the food experience in Phnom Penh in an easy way – going through the streets, he stopped at points where he had to explain something, simply tried food and shared some more background about it. Overall a great adventure to experience local food, and a good opportunity to learn more about culture and history of Cambodia.”
Definitely Recommend!
“Such an awesome experience trying many Cambodian dishes we probably would not have been able to find on our own. Yi was a great guide — super friendly and easy to communicate with. He has a lot of knowledge about all the best local spots and the unique history behind each of the dishes we tried. Definitely recommend!”

“Loved this tour! Felt we got a really local experience here. Going to small restaurants where knowing Khmer is a big benefit. We got driven to a locals home 20-30 minutes out of town and got a home cooked meal with fish from Tonle Sap. The guides were knowledgable and personable as well. This was awesome. Keep it up!”
“This was a great way to discover local food and what we like. Me and my partner went and there were two other people which was nice to speak to them and hear about their travels. Our tour guide Yi was awesome he spoke English very well and explained about all the local cuisines and culture.”
“Excellent tour for adventurous eaters. You will try local dishes you would not have encountered at tourist restaurants. Nothing crazy, just unique flavors you’ll never get anywhere else. Our guide was a very knowledgeable local who spoke good English. Our tour included a 30-minute ride out to a small village for a homemade meal of river fish and rice with herbs and vegetables. Keep in mind that there is a lot of food. Pace yourself! Importantly for those with sensitive stomachs, no one in our group had any ill effects, so enjoy!”
“The food was amazing. The views were incredible. The tour did not disappoint. We especially liked dining with locals in a village near Siem Reap. And the beef skewers with bread at the packed local hole-in-the-wall were among the best bbq I’ve ever had. Our guide, Horn, was friendly, gracious, and interesting. Our driver was also very nice. Lost Plate is always fun, reliable, and an awesome experience.”
My friend has been living here for 6 years and I moved here 6 months ago, but neither of us had ever eaten at any of the places we went during the tour. We loved how they brought us to places that are truly local. Most of them specialized in one or two dishes. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting or living in Phnom Penh!
This was hands-down the best thing we did in a whole month in Cambodia. The food was amazing of course, but the best thing was experiencing it with such a knowledgeable and fun guide. We’ve got a whole new appreciation for Khmer cuisine – this tour is a MUST-DO!
The Best of Cambodian Food
Yi’s knowledge of Cambodian food, it’s history and roots makes this a memorable experience. From understanding ingredients, iconic locations and the history behind each dish—Yi made sure he introduced us to the best of Cambodian food. I’m writing this review after spending a few more days in Cambodia and I can safely say the flavours Yi introduced us to are great enough to rank in the top 5!

By sharing the living history of cuisine by the hands that make it, we're changing the way people think about food and its role in the universe.
Only guides from each city can give you a true taste of the area in food and culture, all trained by our founders to ensure a perfect experience.
We also work with the community through local producers and partners to ensure you’re getting a real local taste of what each community can do.
We are not a tasting tour! If you leave hungry or thirsty, we aren’t doing our jobs. Most of our tours feature unlimited food and drinks (beer too)! Everything we eat is tried and tested, plus you’ll see how its made and learn about the families who make it.
The best part? You won’t have to worry about what to order or how to communicate with the owners at each stop, especially if you have allergies or dietary restrictions.
The local culinary scene in every city is defined by food and drinks, so we make sure you experience it all! Our evening tours include unlimited local beer along the way, and at least one stop to sink a glass (or few) of locally produced craft beer or cocktails. Our morning tours provide fresh juice and local coffee.
We visit local neighborhoods where real locals live and eat. You aren’t going to find any other tourists here, or run into other tour groups. Our restaurants are local legends, family-owned and often specializing in only one dish, which means the quality is high and the flavor is even better. These places wouldn’t survive without regulars, that’s how you know it’s good.
