This is the ideal opportunity for a passionate social media pro to flex their creative muscle, lead a dynamic team, and shape the future of a rapidly growing company. As our Digital Marketing Manager, you’ll work side-by-side with our executive team to develop and execute a powerful digital marketing strategy. At least 50% of your time will be personally creating social media content and managing all of our social media channels. Occasional travel to our tour destinations will be part of your role, gathering content and working with local teams to develop messaging for our marketing material.

This is a demanding management position in a fast-paced environment. Performance is measured regularly and is based on data-driven results.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Content Creation (50+% of Your Role)

  • Collect, edit, and post your own video and photo content across all of our primary social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.).
  • Maintain a robust editorial calendar, ensuring timely, high-impact content while staying current on social media trends and features.
  • Write compelling copy for social media, tour descriptions, and other marketing collateral – tailored to our brand’s voice and style.
  • Implement strategies to increase traffic, leads and revenue, including sponsored posts.

Strategy & Leadership

  • Manage, mentor, and motivate a small, cross-functional marketing team of 2-4 people who are responsible for digital & print media, events, and copywriting.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of all functions of our marketing strategy. One of your first projects will be to analyze resource/personnel gaps in your team and create a strategy to fill those gaps.
  • Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, etc.) to ensure alignment on projects and messaging.
  • Regularly track and present KPIs, insights, and recommendations to the management team based on your team’s projects and outcomes.

Travel & On-the-Ground Content

  • Visit tour locations across China and Southeast Asia to capture content, footage, and genuine experiences.
  • Partner with local teams to ensure marketing campaigns authentically reflect on-the-ground tour experiences.
  • Ability to build a plan before traveling to ensure all necessary content is captured for use over an extended time period.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience:

  • 3+ years of content creation and social media experience is required, as is leadership or managerial experience in a fast-paced setting, juggling shifting priorities, and delivering under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrable success driving revenue and brand awareness through content marketing and social media.
  • Familiarity with “Building a StoryBrand” or similar marketing strategies is a bonus.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Expert knowledge of social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc), including boosted/sponsored posts.
  • Skilled in video and photo editing software (ie; PremierePro and Lightroom) and design tools like Canva.
  • Comfortable using and traveling with your own video/camera gear.

Language Skills:

  • Native-level English (written proficiency is crucial).
  • Basic Chinese or better is preferred.

Travel:

  • Willingness to travel within China and SE Asia for on-site content creation and collaboration.
