Portland Craft Beer Festival

A festival especially for the craft beer aficionados, the Portland Craft Beer Festival is a local summer staple. This beer fest typically features over 60 craft breweries, as well as local food carts for when you work up an appetite sampling the beverages on tap. This event is a great way to tip-off craft beer month in Oregon – more info here!

Portland Food Cart Tour Food Truck

Now this is a foodie event to look forward to! Lost Plate Food Tours runs a Portland Food Cart Tour all summer long. You’ll walk around with a local tour guide eating and drinking at some of Portland’s best food carts, plus a brewery! For your caffeine and sugar fix, join their Downtown Coffee & Donut Tour. These tours includes all food and drinks making this an awesome value.

Oregon Midsummer Festival

Taking place in June, the Oregon Midsummer Festival celebrates all things Scandinavian. There’s flower crowns, music, live performers, tasty Nordic delicacies, games, and more. For event dates and more info visit the festival website

Tea Fest PDX

Tea enthusiasts unite! This festival is full of vendors, workshops, and classes – all about tea! For a truly relaxing experience, activities at the fest may include yoga, tai chi, and live music. More info here.

VegFest

Taste of Latin America

This food-focused festival takes place at the Portland Mercado, a hub for Latinx culture in Portland. This festival includes food from over 20 vendors, music, and more. Event dates and details are announced here

Portland Hot Sauce Expo

If you’ve got an iron stomach and a love of spicy foods, then this might be the highlight of the summer. Featuring over 40 hot sauce companies providing free hot sauce tasting, this could be the place to find your new favorite spice. If you prefer to simply watch other people eat uncomfortably hot food, there are extreme eating challenges! Keep an eye on upcoming dates and info here.

Elephant Garlic Festival

For those who automatically double or triple the garlic asked for in recipes: if you’re up for a day trip, North Plains, Oregon is home to a wonderful and stinky Elephant Garlic Festival. Follow your nose to the festival where you can try everything garlic – including ice cream! – and take in some live entertainment. More info here.

Festa Italiana

Celebrating all things American-Italian, including (obviously) the food! Snack on gelato, enjoy some pizza, or stroll over to the wine and beer garden for some adult juice. More info here.

Portland Burger Week

Portland Burger Week boasts a huge lineup of participating restaurants, many of whom have vegetarian and gluten-free options. For one week in August only, over 20 different restaurants will offer a unique burger that you won’t find the rest of the year – all for special price! Dates and burgers are usually announced here sometime in July.

Jade District Night Market

The Jade District Night Market has been on a hiatus since the pandemic started, but may return in the future. Keep an eye on festival announcements here.
